Frequently Asked Questions
Have your recipes been tested?
Each recipe shows its testing status near the top of the page. Recipes marked “Not yet kitchen-tested” are written from established cooking techniques and reviewed for accuracy, but haven’t yet been cooked in our own kitchen. We update the label once a recipe has been tested. Read more on our methodology page.
Why do you use cups and tablespoons?
Our readers are mostly in the United States, so we write recipes in US customary measurements. Our Kitchen Guides page includes conversion charts for metric measurements and oven temperatures.
How do I change the number of servings?
Use the serving calculator above the ingredient list. It adjusts ingredient amounts, but not cooking times, pan sizes, or temperatures, which may need adjusting when you scale a recipe a lot.
How do I print a recipe?
Click Print Recipe at the top of any recipe. The printed version includes only the recipe card, without menus or other page elements.
Do you provide nutrition information?
Not yet. We only want to publish nutrition data that has been calculated with a documented method, and we haven’t set that up yet.
Do you track me or show ads?
Not currently. The site doesn’t use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. If that changes, we’ll update our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy and ask for your consent where required.
Can I share your recipes?
Yes, please share links! If you want to publish one of our recipes elsewhere, write the instructions in your own words and link back to the original. See our Terms and Conditions for details.
I found a mistake. How do I report it?
Thank you! Please use the “Report a recipe error” link on our Contact page.
